Cannes Premiere

Cece Lewis attends Franklin Street’s premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

She wears a sculptural skirt and razor-cut bodice ensemble constructed from deadstock Italian cotton shirting. The full-length skirt is cut with architectural layering and a dramatic gathered bustle in the back. The halter-style top is backless and fitted to the body, revealing a low-cut side profile and open back.

“When me and Cece spoke about her premiere gown in Milan, I told her I’d send a sketch but to expect something pink. A few rounds later and a phone call in between, we landed on this combo—dramatic but still very her. In the end, we decided to keep the fabric white and untouched. It felt clearer that way, and more powerful.” —Stacy Strange, Designer, Studio Atelier
