Hulu Greenlights Docuseries Following Entertainment Attorney Zuri Jones Ahead of Star-Studded Wedding

EXCLUSIVE: Hulu has announced a new unscripted limited series centered on powerhouse entertainment attorney Zuri Jones, tracking the month leading up to her highly anticipated wedding to Lockwood Pictures executive Julian Toussaint-Lewis.

Titled The Vow: Zuri & Julian, the four-part docuseries will debut later this year as part of Hulu’s expanded slate of personality-driven storytelling. The announcement was made during the streamer’s annual Upfronts presentation, where the project was positioned as “equal parts cultural document and modern Black love story.”

Jones, whose high-profile client roster and sharp legal commentary have made her a mainstay in both legal and entertainment circles, is also serving as an executive producer on the series. The show will offer a rare, curated look inside her world as she balances final negotiations, fittings, and family dynamics—all while preparing to marry into one of Hollywood’s most prominent Black dynasties.

This isn’t a spectacle. It’s a portrait.

“This isn’t a spectacle. It’s a portrait,” Jones said in a statement released through her rep. “I wanted to create space for the in-between moments—the ones that don’t always get shared, but say the most. Black women deserve to see themselves as soft, supported, and centered.”

The series is being produced by Rosedust Studios, the independent production house helmed by Cece Lewis, Julian’s cousin and a rising director in her own right. It marks one of the first public creative collaborations between the two women, who are said to share a close personal and creative bond.

Directed by Aisha Monroe (The Hair Tales, Black Love), The Vow promises a tone that is “intimate, cinematic, and deeply personal.” According to Hulu’s VP of Unscripted Originals, Shonda Peters, “Zuri represents a new kind of public figure: brilliant, aspirational, and grounded. Her story is about more than a wedding. It’s about power, partnership, and legacy.”

The final moment stays private

While the series will document the full month of wedding events—including a legal-themed bridal shower, a joint family dinner hosted by the Lewis matriarchs, and a surprise musical performance arranged by Julian—the final ceremony will remain private. The series ends just before Zuri steps out to walk down the aisle.

A separate editorial spread and a short, private film for family keepsake purposes are said to follow the release.

The Vow: Zuri & Julian is slated to premiere this fall.
