Studio Atelier Announces Participation in the 2025 Met Gala and CFDA’s Tailored Voices Initiative

Brooklyn, NY – Studio Atelier is honored to announce its participation in the prestigious 2025 Met Gala, themed "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," inspired by Monica L. Miller’s seminal work, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity. In partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Studio Atelier will debut an exclusive look as part of the groundbreaking Tailored Voices initiative, dedicated to spotlighting visionary Black designers reshaping contemporary fashion.

Studio Atelier's founder and creative director, Stacy Strange, expressed enthusiasm about the occasion, stating: "This is more than an event for us. It’s an affirmation of Black creativity and a chance to celebrate style as identity and legacy. We're excited to share our vision in such meaningful company

Joining Studio Atelier for this iconic evening is an esteemed roster of muses, collaborators, and cultural luminaries, including actor Ara Myembi, recording artist Recea Marin, renowned entertainment lawyer Zuri Jones and her fiancé, film executive Julian Toussaint-Lewis, as well as legendary film star Verna Valentine, whose groundbreaking performances helped shape Black Hollywood’s golden age. An additional special guest will be announced in the coming weeks.
