Lewis Motion Pictures Launches Rosedust Studios, a New Imprint Led by Cecilia Lewis
LOS ANGELES, CA — Lewis Motion Pictures announced today the official launch of Rosedust Studios, a boutique creative imprint dedicated to emotionally intelligent, visually resonant storytelling across film and television. The division will be led by actress-turned-director Cecilia “Cece” Lewis, marking her return to the studio’s inner circle under a new, self-defined creative vision.
Rosedust Studios will develop and produce narrative films and limited series that center women, queer voices, and underrepresented identities with a focus on character depth, generational themes, and cultural specificity. The imprint will serve as a creative laboratory within the Lewis Motion Pictures ecosystem—offering bold, director-driven projects the support and scale of a legacy studio while maintaining a distinct tone and mission.
“Rosedust is about inheritance and intention,” said Cece Lewis. “It’s for the stories that take root quietly and bloom without permission. I was raised on soundstages, but this is the first time I’m building one of my own.”
Cece Lewis rose to prominence as a child actress and teen box office star before transitioning to a critically acclaimed director with her breakout films Girlhouse and Cold Blonde. Her latest work, as executive producer on the landmark film Daisy, further cemented her as a creative force reshaping modern cinema.
Rosedust’s first official slate includes:
Driveway, directed by Lewis and co-produced with Julian Toussaint-Lewis, a generational drama exploring grief, memory, and feminine inheritance.
A contemporary adaptation of a mid-century literary work exploring desire, migration, and emotional estrangement.
A yet-untitled limited series created in partnership with Eleanor’s Note, Lewis’s editorial and lifestyle platform.
“We’re proud to support Cece in expanding the Lewis Motion Pictures legacy while forging something entirely her own,” said studio chair Daniel Lacey. “Rosedust reflects the best of where we’ve been and where we’re going.”
Rosedust Studios will operate out of Lewis Motion Pictures’ historic West Hollywood campus, with plans for an independent satellite space focused on early development labs and filmmaker residencies by 2026.
